Until 17 February 2013 a large number of artists and artistic collectives present their works at the second re.act.feminism event in Tàpies Foundation in Barcelona, a temporary archive of live performances touring Europe from 2011 to 2013. This archive is continually growing and its artistic manifestations uphold gender criticism, feminist performance and the queer look. The range of works includes contemporary ones but also some from decades like the ‘60s and the ‘80s.
This project offers artistic visions through time and geography: from Eastern and Western Europe, via the Mediterranean area and the Middle East, to the United States and Latin America. Its aim is to strengthen the dialogue between cultures and generations. The touring archive is continually expanded through local research and collaboration with universities and artistic academies. As if this were not enough, re.act.feminism also accompanies its performances with workshops and talks.
