THE PAINTINGFLIES BY MARIADIAMANTES

After exploring the forests, jungles and most beautiful and secret places in the world in search of unknown animals, Mariadiamantes and Joid’art have found six specimens of mysterious butterfly that can paint things by flapping their wings. Mariadiamantes has made sketches of them to capture their colours and Joid’art have represented them in earrings and bracelets for girls.

Thanks to Mariadiamantes’s illustrated field notes from her journey of exploration, the Joid’art creative team has been able to shape these small enamelled pieces, so we can all enjoy the beauty of these Lepidoptera.

The new species is called The Paintingflies (Magicus Papilio) in honour of its wings’ magical ability to paint whatever it wants: scenery, animals, fruit, moments, thoughts, moods and all kinds of objects. Look at the “Joid’art Discovery News” newspaper where you can know them in detail.

Fancy a closer look? They fly freely on our online shop and in Joid’art stores. Come and see them.
