Joid’art creations have strong ties to the world of art. Not only because the design of many of our pieces are inspired by the works of artists, but also because our collections are available from shops in some of the most prestigious galleries in the world. These include the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Fundació Joan Miró and the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. Fancy visiting them?
The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid) houses a vast collection of contemporary Spanish art dating from 1881 onwards, with works by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró, geniuses who have made their mark in contemporary art. The most emblematic painting found there is Guernica, but there is enough talent in its 21,000 works to justify visits over several days. The Joid’art creations in the museum shop are surrounded by art.
The Fundació Joan Miró (Barcelona) has some of Miró’s most representative works. It houses over 10,000 pieces including paintings, sculptures, tapestries, drawings and sketches. A visit to the Foundation takes us on a trip through the artist’s life from his first sketches to his later large-format paintings. It also has a space given over to promoting the work of young experimental artists. The Fundació Joan Miró shop has some of Joid’art’s most explicit and artistic collections.
The Bilbao Fine Arts Museum (Bilbao) houses works of various artistic movements dating from the 13th century to the present. A total of over 10,000 objects are exhibited in five large sections dedicated to Ancient art, Modern and Contemporary, Basque art, Work on paper and Applied arts. The shop features a selection of Joid’art creations characterised by sculptural forms.
We are privileged to be present in such prestigious establishments, where contemporary jewellery can reaffirm its aesthetic and artistic value. Along with these museums, and others we will inform you of shortly, they are also available from our stores and at joidart.com.
