Terrazzo used to be a material used in construction in the 1970s. Now, however, artist and Joid’art creative director, Cristina Julià, has rescued it from oblivion. Having used it as a source of inspiration for a piece of work, she then went on to create the Terrazzo Project, a collection of jewellery that reflects the power of this graphic work and expresses it through simple contemporary forms.
Terrazzo Project establishes a dialogue between the digital print (half graphic, half painted) created by Cristina Julià exclusively for this collection and her way of understanding jewellery. The pieces feature Murano glass circles, in shades of grey or mauve, flecked with the small black and white forms that are characteristic of terrazzo. The geometry is absolute. Straight lines and circular medallions create striking compositions, with a powerful structure that cannot fail to impress. The collection’s rings, bracelets, necklaces and bangles , in matte silver or gold-plated gold metal, project the same aesthetic strength. Dare to transform your look with Terrazzo Project and be inspired by its colours by mirroring them in your make-up. The result will be spectacular, we guarantee it.
