A stroll along the beach. Sunlight. The gentle lapping of the waves. Water swirling around your feet. An eclectic array of pebbles lining the shore. Each one unique; flat, oval, sculpted by time. Someone picks them up and puts them in their pocket ready to take home and reinterpret as art. As simple and evocative as that. That is precisely how the new Pebbles jewellery collection created by Berta Riera came into being.
The stones inspired Berta’s designs for the earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets in this collection that she herself defines as ‘a game of arranging differently sized pebbles on the beach’.
She has created an organic, authentic and free-spirited range of jewellery that is incredibly easy to wear. Pieces that are suitable for any setting, from the everyday to that special occasion. They have that touch of personality capable of turning a piece of jewellery into something unique. The collection is available in both matte silver and gold-plated matte gold metal.
The jewellery designer Berta Riera studied art, design and jewellery at the Escola Massana Art and Design Centre in Barcelona and the École Boulle art school in Paris. She has worked in a number of jewellery workshops, combining this with developing her own brand, with which she has participated internationally in exhibitions and trade fairs. She has also created fashion accessories for brands such as Massimo Dutti, Mango, Carolina Herrera, Uterqüe, Desigual and Pepe Jeans.
