Summer days like these spark a desire to paint life in a thousand vivid colours. Get up in blue, walk in green, love in red, dance in turquoise, dream in fuchsia. Express yourself in pigments. Surround yourself with chromatic sensations. And adorn yourself with colourful enamel pieces of jewellery, like the ones we handcraft with such care and attention in our Joid’art workshop.
They’re different. They’re charismatic. They’re international. They’re style, fashion and personality. They’re free. They’re influential. They’re fans of our jewellery. They’re our online ambassadors. Want to meet them?
Joid’art creations have strong ties to the world of art. Not only because the design of many of our pieces are inspired by the works of artists, but also because our collections are available from shops in some of the most prestigious galleries in the world. These include the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Fundació Joan Miró and the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. Fancy visiting them?
There are places that you want to be in. Because everything they transmit is pleasant and aesthetic. Because in them you can switch off, feel good and discover things that you like. Joid’art stores are spaces like this. Small oases of simplicity where every detail is designed so that you can fully experience our creations.
Not long to go now before the Mariela’s contradictions campaign is launched. We can’t wait! But as there’s still a while to go and we just couldn’t wait, we decided to put out a making-of of the shoot, along with a short report on our feelings. To help you get a sense of who Mariela is, how we recreated her environment and who was behind the scenes.
In the midst of the stone houses of the small town of Púbol (Girona), a refuge and source of inspiration for Dalí, which was to become a temple of his love for Gala, we find La Galarina. Inside the space, the Joid’art creations are exhibited in a subtle, austere and simple way. The pieces of jewellery are integrated within the surroundings as if they were part of a museum dedicated to the essential.
On the occasion of Girona’s annual Temps de Flors flower festival, the Joid’art store on Argenteria street in Girona was transformed into an enamelling workshop last Saturday. Enameller Luz Barrabés gave a demonstration of the enamelling process of various different pieces of jewellery.
Joid’art shops donate 1% of their sells to developing projects aimed to improve women’s life conditions all over the world. For 6 years we have been collaborating with the NGO Proyde that helps in Togo (Africa). We are now involved in a project to extent the cultivable lands for groups of women.
